lan Gates tells us that the Somerset Vintage & Classic Tractor Show that takes place on 4-5 February at the Bath & West Showground, Shepton Mallett, Somerset could be the last one. Now in its 10th year, Allan tells us he will not be doing another one and if someone else does not come forward to take over, that will be it.

However the local tractor owners regularly support it in droves and with the H J Pugh sale on the Saturday it is a very popular event. Over the years it has raised well in excess of £200,000 for charity, but rising costs imposed on the show by the site owners has not made it easy for Allan and team.
